2009 Nissan GT-R – 3.3s to 100 km/h

Last year when Nissan launched the new version of the popular GT-R, the company announced an official acceleration time of 3.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. After a couple of drive tests the buff books reported faster sprints ranging from 3.3 to 3.4 seconds. The 2009 GT-R has few additional power and with a reworked launch control system the Nissan test driver cloacked a 3.3 second time to reach the magic mark of 100 km/h while he tested the car on the Tochigi track.
Nissan won’t officially restate the 2009 GT-R‘s acceleration time and they will leave independent testers to see how fast the new version could accelarate. The 3.5 second time will stand until someone else performs a thorough, repeatable and instrumented test.
