Jaguar started their come back a while ago with the introduction of the XF sedan. This was the first new model created by Jaguar after a long time and even though it was ment to compete with other luxury sport sedans made by BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi, the car was highly appreciated.

The second surprise from Jaguar came last month at the Detroit Auto Show where they unveiled the new XFR.  The car is powered by a supercharged, direct-inject 5.0L V8 engine with 510 HP and it was specifically designed to stare down the BMW M5 and Mercedes Benz E63 AMG.

But the good news from Jaguar which might get them more buyers is the starting price of the 2010 Jaguar XFR. The company recently announced that the new car will start at $80,000 and that means it costs few thousand less than the M5 and E63 AMG and it also produces more power than both. The Audi S6 which would also compete with these three cars is less expensive than all three but it has a lot less power with an engine that could deliver just 435 HP.
