2011 Shelby GT350 Mustang 1

Shelby unveiled a supercharged concept version of the Mustang based 2011 Shelby GT350 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Opening Night Gala to honor the 45th anniversary of the first GT350. The 2011 Shelby GT350 Mustang is based on the 5.0L Ford Mustang GT and Shelby tried to create a car that is light, nimble and powerful with the help of experts from Ford Racing, Goodyear, Borla, Cragar and Baer.

Every segment of the car was improved or replaced to create the ultimate balanced performance car that will commemorate the GT350 which was discontinued in 1970. The car’s engine was tweaked and supercharged to 500 HP, the car’s aerodynamics were improved with modern styling cues and handling was also sharpened.

The 2011 Shelby GT350 Mustang features a dynamic styling package with a front fascia and splitter, a new hood with air scoops, side skirts, a new rear fascia and a deck lid filler panel. The car also received impressive 19″ Cragar wheels wrapped in super sticky Goodyear tires and high performance brakes from Baer.

Each GT350 will be finished in traditional white with Shelby Guardsman blue Le Mans stripes and will have GT350 badges on the outside and inside and a Shelby serial number. Only a limited number of units of this special car will be built in 2011 and any customers could convert their Ford Mustang GT into this masterpiece.

The Shelby GT350 upgrade package will be priced at $33,995 and this does not include the price of the base car.
