2013 Dacia Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway presented in Paris
The Paris Motor Show brought us steamy hot news about the all-new Dacia Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway. Apparently, the Logan and Sandero will share the same engine lineup, begining with a small three-cylinder 898cc turbocharged gasoline unit that pumps out with 90 HP – 66 kW and 135 Nm of torque. This engine will return a fuel consumption of 5,2 liters/100km (54.3 mpg UK and 45.2 mpg US) and CO2 emissions of 120 g/km.
Both Logan and Sandero will share the 1.2-liter engine with 75 HP – 55 kW and a gas mileage of 5.9 liters /100 km (47.8 mpg UK and 39.8 mpg US). In some select markets (excluding UK), this engine will also receive an LPG version that promises lower fuel consuption and emissions.
The diesel version on the other hand can be ordered from two different output versions. A 1.5-liter dCi with either 75 HP – 55 kW and 200Nm of torque or a 90 HP – 66 kW and 220Nm. Fuel consumption is rated at 3.8 liters /100 km (or 74.3 mpg UK and 61.8 mpg US), with CO2 emissions of 99 g/km.
Next in line, the Sandero Stepway will be offered only with the 0.9-liter engine and the 1.5-liter dCi with 90 hp which is not that cool. I think that the Stepway needed a more powerful gasoline engine under the bonnet. Anyway, the petrolhead consumes 5.4 liters /100 km (52.3 mpg UK and 43.5 mpg US) while the diesel returns 4.1 liters /100 km (68.9 mpg UK and 57.3 mpg US)
Optional, the trio will be offered with Dacia’s Plug&Radio multimedia solution which is a major step forward for Dacia. The system includes a wide screen and an MP3-compatible CD player with Bluetooth support, USB sockets and fascia jack, as well as controls mounted on the steering wheel. As a bonus, the MEDIA NAV system that debuted on the Lodgy and Dokker models is now available for the Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway. Thumbs up Dacia!
