Atomik Fiat 500
Atomik Cars turned a Fiat Abarth 500 into an electric car which they claim to have supercar performance in a city car’s size and also an attractive carbon fiber exterior. The car’s body was modified by installing modified front and rear bumpers, wider fenders and side skirts that will provide optimal air flow above this electric 500.
The Atomik Fiat 500 features high performance LifePO4 batteries, brushless synchronous motors, two new transmissions that make this 500 permanent all wheel drive and a carbon rear chassis. The front motor develops a power of 80 kW and 840 Nm of torque while the rear engine delivers the same power and an even more incredible torque: 1,710 Nm.
Add these numbers and you will get a total power output of 160 kW which is about 215 HP and 2,550 Nm split 33/67 front to rear. Since the car is really small and light, its power to weight ratio could be compared even to supercars and with this electric powertrain the Atomik Fiat 500 is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and it could reach a top speed of around 200 km/h with a driving range of about 200 km.

Good going! I love the Fiat Abarth 500s, and even more seeing it as an electric car – it looks cool AND is environmentally friendly. Fiat do some great city cars…I wonder if they’d go down the electric route…?
