Aside the new Jaguar XFR-S performance sedan, the British automaker has also brought the F-Type Roadster to the LA Motor Show. However, Jaguar didn’t want one of the models that already debuted in Paris, so the F-Type cabrio came with a series of new option packs. The Design pack features body-colored side skirts, splitter and a glossy black rear valance, while the exterior Black pack adds gloss black trim to the front grille, side vents and roll hoops.
On the interior, the F-Type’s Black pack, adds a flat-bottomed steering wheel and gloss black trim to the vents, switches and instruments. The exterior Black pack is available in a variety of colors, including Ultimate Black, Polaris White, Rhodium Silver, Satellite Grey, Italian Racing Red and the Firesand orange tone pictured in the images shown here.
The Los Angeles Auto Show has just started, and automakers from around the world are unveiling their vehicles like crazy. Leaving others aside, for the moment, Fiat has taken the opportunity to present its new 2013 500C Abarth. The vehicle is programmed to go on sale early next year with a base price of around $22,000.
The new convertible features an aggressive front fascia, new side skirts, a power-operated soft top with an integrated spoiler and, seen from the back, there’s a new rear diffuser fitted on the ride. Also, the 2013 500C Abarth sits on a set of 16-inch cast-aluminum wheels wrapped in Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires.The car also received a sport-tuned suspension with stiffer springs, cast-iron lower control arms, KONI twin-tube struts and a solid rear stabilizer bar. More to it, there’s a modified electronic stability control system and new high-performance brakes with larger discs and red calipers.
Interior changes aren’t so impressive, as the only notable changes are a set of sport seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, aluminum pedals and a black shifter with red contrast stitching. Furthermore, customers can also opt for a navigation system and a Beats Audio system with six speakers, an 8-inch subwoofer and eight-channel amplifier.
Under the bonnet, the nasty Fiat is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir engine that generates 160 HP – 119 kW and 230 Nm of torque. All that power goes to the asphalt via a five-speed manual transmission which also enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100Km/h (60 mph) in the “low 7 second range.”

Steeda Autosports in a company specialized in refining powerful cars and at the 2009 Los Angeles Show they unveiled their latest creation: a 2010 Mustang Steeda Q550 Streetfighter Edition. The car is powered by supercharged V8 engine that produces 550 HP and with this engine it could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds.
Since the car’s power received a small boost, the guys from Steeda upgraded several parts of the 2010 Mustang and installed a Watt’s Link Suspension system with new shocks and struts, an adjustable 3rd link trailing arm kit, new front and rear swaybars and a high performance braking system with 6-piston and 15″ crossed drilled and slotted rotors.
At the exterior level, the 2010 Mustang Steeda Q550 Streetfighter Edition received a special aerodynamic kit that makes the car more aggressive and includes a rear spoiler, a new vented hood and a rear diffuser. This special 2010 Mustang also received 20″ HRE Monoblock P40 alloy wheels that are equipped with high performance tires from Nitto sized 275/35 at the front and 315/35 in the rear.
The car’s interior also received a couple of modifications such as a pair of leather covered bucket seats with carbon fiber back and 6-Point safety harness, a new steering wheel wrapped in alcantara and a steel roll bar with cross bracing wrapped in leather.
The 2010 Mustang Steeda Q550 Streetfighter Edition will be available from the first quarter of 2010.
In March 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show Spyker unveiled their second generation C8 Aileron and they announced that they are going to develop a convertible Spyder model of the car that was premiered a couple of months ago. The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder went from one auto show to the other and now it was finally displayed at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Spyder easily turns heads with its light aluminum body that is offered in 16 different colours and it features a roof with a glass rear window that can be ordered in one of eight colours. The car features a new electro-hydraulic soft top roof mechanism and it’s exterior look is inspired by the company’s heritage in aviation. The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder impresses everyone with its design with a large front grille and a rear end that features LED lighting.
Spyker installed 19″ alloy wheels rolled inside high performance tires sized 235/35 in the front and 295/30 in the rear. The Dutch supercar maker also used aluminum extensively for the dashboard which features a high tech entertainment system and many gadgets such as an iPod, Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation.
Under the hood, this lovely car is powered by an Audi sourced 4.2L V8 engine that produces 405 HP and a maximum torque of 480 Nm at 3,400 rpm. With this engine, the car could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and it could reach a top speed of 300 km/h.
The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder will enter production stage in the first half of 2010.
Mazda unveiled a custom Mazdaspeed2 concept at the LA auto show that blends a weekend track car with an urban commuter in just the right proportions. The car features several modifications and its body received a special aerodynamics kit that makes the car more aggressive and also improves its aerodynamics.
The custom Mazdaspeed2 features a new front spoiler, a deeper side rocker for improved aerodynamics, a strong lower diffuser and a new exhaust tip and a rear upper spoiler that was redesigned for both additional downforce and to futher increase the car’s race appearance. The special Mazdaspeed2 also has a lower overall stance and its body is finished in Ceramic Grey metallic with motorsports graphics.
The car’s graphics are finished with the historic number 55 which is a tribute to the ’91 Mazda 787B race car who won the LeMans race. Mazda also installed 17″ wheels that are wrapped in 215/45/17 Yokohama Advan tires to enhance the car’s stange. Also, the custom Mazdaspeed2 received a lowered coil over suspension from H&R and a high performance exhaust from Magna.
The car’s wheels, mirrors and other small details where painted in Spirited Green to make the car even more attractive.
The 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Special Edition was unveiled today at the Los Angeles Auto Show and Subaru already released the car’s price and a couple of details about it. The new WRX STI Special edition is aimed for customers who are willing to trade a few amenities for better handling and performances than the already powerful WRX STI.
The car comes with a new suspension that originates from the Japanese Subaru spec C model and adds a 1 mm thicker rear stabilizer bar, stiffer rear sub frame bushings and revised springs. The new special edition WRX STI has 16% stiffer springs and 29% stiffer rear shocks which will improve the car’s stability and handling at high speeds.
Even though Subaru announced that their 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Special Edition is going to be available in a limited edition, the company will introduce this special model as a regular production model later in 2010. The special Impreza WRX STI is priced at $32,995.
Infiniti premiered yesterday the 2010 Infiniti G37 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, a car that comes with a radical redesign to refresh this Infiniti model. The car comes with a reworked fascia with fog lamp clusters moved further down, a new front grille, a redesigned rear bumper and five-spoke 17″ wheels.
The car’s interior also features several upgrades such as new white gauges and an LCD screen, a new center console, aluminum trim and Maple accents which makes the new Infiniti G37 more stylish and luxurious. The car also features other high tech gadgets such as a navigation system that includes real time traffic and weather forecast and everything can be accessed through a 7″ touch screen monitor.
