According to some fresh reports Ferdinand Piech, the former Volkswagen chairman, has revealed that Bugatti are planning a 1,200 hp Super Veyron but he hasn’t released any details about the upcoming supercar. The 1,200 hp Veyron has been anticipated for years but now it seems Bugatti are finally planning to bring it to life.
The current Bugatti Veyron has 1,001 HP but the quad turbocharged sixteen cylinder engine is capable of more than that and a modified version of this engine could be able to develop up to 1,200 hp. Even though Piech is not sitting in the big seat of the Volkswagen group nowadays he’s probably one of the few in the world who would know about a new Bugatti.
The existing Veyron production run is winding to a close and probably this is the best period to launch a 1,200 hp Super Veyron.
