Lincoln premiered today their first ever hybrid model, the 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid at the New York Auto Show. The MKZ will use Ford’s new hybrid powertrain that features a 2.5L four cylinder engine and en electric motor that develop a combined power output of 191 HP.

Ford claims that the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid has a better fuel consumption and it’s also faster than it’s direct rival, the Lexus HS 250h. The Lexus HS 250h returns a fuel usage of 35 mpg in the city and reaches a top speed of 25mph in electric mode while the MKZ delivers a fuel consumption of 41 mpg in the city and could reach speeds of 47 mph in electric mode.

Lincoln will launch the new MKZ Hybrid on the market in the fall of this year.

Lincoln has premiered the 2011 facelifted version of their Lincoln MKX at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The 2011 Lincoln MKX comes with a lot of exterior styling upgrades and features a new front grille, revised bumpers, new headlamps, fenders, a new hood, a redesigned rear bumper with integrated oval exhaust tips, new LED taillights and a new set of 18″ wheels.

The car’s interior is also upgraded and it’s more luxurious than its predecessor featuring a MyLincoln Touch driver connect system that replaces buttons, knobs, gauges with LCD screens and five way buttons like those from cell phones.

These LCD screens can be personalized to display information relevant to each driver with just a simple button click, voice command or touch screen tap. The 2011 Lincoln MKX also comes with a Voice Activated Navigation system, iTunes Tagging, HD radio, Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support.

The new version of the MKX is powered by a 3.7L Duratec V6 engine with Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing which delivers 305 HP and a maximum torque of 280 lb-ft. With this engine, the car has a combined fuel consumption of 25 mpg. Lincoln also installed other upgraded parts such as a sportier suspension and a high performance braking system.
