A bad boy useful for expeditions in places where no one has gone before.
Dodge Charger “Redline”
Presented at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, seemed to be one of the Transformers and for a while I was convinced that it is so. A three-piece Mopar carbon fiber rear spoiler for additional down force, a vinyl roof graphic in matte black, an serious infusion of performance parts and attitude. I love it ! Who said that earthlings can not have their own UFO’s ?
Jeep Compass “True North”
I do not know how it looks the Fake North but certainly know what I like at True North. Is it paint? It it the way it looks? Yup, here we have a true adventurer. 16-inch alloys and a 2-inch lift kit for more courage in rough terrain, matte black paint for the roof, wheel flares, grille and light surrounds and some gadgets inside. Chrysler has plans to team up once again with designer John Varvatos to develop two special editions of the 300C. Earlier this year, the car maker, in collaboration with the same american fashion designer, developed a special 300S that was sold for charity.
This time, both editions of the Chrysler 300C will be sold to customers for profit and will also be available with V6 and V8 gasoline engines. For an extra buck, customers can even opt for the AWD variant.
The first of the two special vehicles, the 2013 “Chrysler 300C John Varvatos Luxury Edition”, will arrive towards the end of the year. The car will feature a set of 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, a mesh grille, platinum chrome accents, and a John Varvatos deck-lid badge. The interior will be fitted with exclusive Dark Mocha with black Poltrona Frau “Foligno” leather and hand-sanded wood that, according to the automaker, was reserved in the past for some of the most exotic Italian luxury cars.
The 2013 “Chrysler John Varvatos Limited Edition” 300C will be available in the first quarter of next year and it will feature a Phantom Black tri-color hue paint with black chrome and titanium accents for the grille surrounds, tailpipes, badges and mirror caps. This version will be fitted with LED tail lamps and 20-inch cast-aluminum wheels. The interior of the ride will feature Pewter Metallic seats covered in leather and tailored with unique diesel gray and black pattern Varvatos stitching and logos. The car will also have a heated, hand-stiched steering wheel, charcoal black metallic bezels, a pearlescent white face gauge cluster and a set of titanium chrome accents.
Now we’ll just have to wait and see which of the auto shows will Chrysler pick for the official unveiling of these rides as well as the price tags on these beauties.
Chrysler will introduce a new version of their Chrysler 300 in 2012, dubbed as the “Luxury Edition”, the new model will come equipped with a pretty efficient 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine. The new V6-equipped car will join the top of the range versions: 300C and 300S Executive Series and also the new 300C Luxury Series.
The 3.6L V6 engine might seem the least powerful engine from the range, but it generates a pretty impressive power of 292 HP which is sent to the car’s rear wheels through an 8 speed automatic transmission. The basic price for this version is $40,145 but for an extra $2,350 customers could get it with the all wheel drive platform.
If they’re looking for more powerful with almost the same luxury, they could always go for the 300C Luxury Series which starts from $42,895 and features a 5.7L Hemi V8 engine that’s able to produce 363 HP.
In terms of styling, the 2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Edition features a Premium Nappa leather interior treatment, 12 way adjustable front seats with cooling and heating functions, a state of the art infotainment system and navigation with an 8.4″ touchscreen, Natural Pore Mocha wood trim and many other chrome accents and unique touches.

The Italian automaker Fiat has just bought a 6 percent stake in Chrysler from the US government paying $500 million to the United States Treasury and raising its share to a controlling interest of 52 percent. Sergio Marchionne, the CEO of Fiat-Chrysler can now consolidate a full takeover of Chrysler instead of making it a publicly traded company again.
The previous assumption was that Chrysler would make an IPO but now a full takeover by Fiat Auto seems more palpable. By the end of this year, Fiat will have a 57 percent share of Chrysler after it will acquire an additional 5 percent by making a new Dodge model from a Fiat platform as part of the initial deal to invest in Chrysler.
The remaining share of the company is currently owned by the United Auto Workers’ Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association, around 41.5 percent and the Canadian government also owns 1.5 percent shares of Chrysler. Fiat has also obtained the right to buy shares from the UAW from the US Government.

Chrysler executives decided the name Sebring isn’t as great as the new, refreshed Sebring model and they decided to name the 2011 model as Chrysler Nassau. Sergio Marchionne, the CEO from Chrysler declared that the Sebring had a poor image in the mid segment and if you compared it against the competition the car was not where it was supposed to be.
That’s why Chrysler decided to destroy the name and with they wanted to give a new identity for the new super refreshed model. Nassau might be the capital city of Bahamas but it was also used by Chrysler as the name of one of their concepts revealed back in 2007.
The Chrysler Nassau probably won’t look like the 2007 concept that had almost the same name but it will probably be great enough to bring Chrysler back in the attention of everyone who wants to buy a mid-size sedan.
Chrysler revealed the 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser Couture Edition at Detroit, a special PT Cruiser version to celebrate a decade of the Chrysler PT Cruiser’s timeless design. The Couture edition comes with new levels of craftsmanship and color with fenders and high belt line painted in Bright Silver Metallic while the upper body and roofline are painted in Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl with red accents.
The exterior design is completed by the chromed body side molding, door handles, front grille and 16″ polished aluminum wheels. The car’s paint job reminds us of the 1930s and the 1940s which was the hot-rod styling era. The car also received a couple of upgrades in the interior and Chrysler installed some chromed detail rings to highlight the black gloss gauges, rotating vents and Chrysler signature analog clock.
The 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser Couture Edition will be available in all Chrysler dealerships from the first quarter of 2010 for a starting price of $19,995.
