Last week, Ariel has announced the all-new Atom 3.5 which bears a couple of improvements over the current version. Among them, there’s a new chassis which has been derived from the Atom V8 and Mugen versions, new dampers and updated engine mounts. Ariel also said that the new Atom 3.5 will provide a more comfortable ride as well as better traction and balance on track.

Styling changes are overall minimal, with only a new hood, twin projector lamps and LED turn and taillights being installed on the exterior. Inside the cockpit, the Atom 3.5 has a new LCD dashboard display with gear-shift lights, and upot the driver’s request, a data logger which can show the G force and lap times.

Under the bonnet, the Atom boasts the same Honda 2.0-liter iVTEC normally-aspirated engine that produces 245 HP – 182 kW, while its supercharged counterpart has received a 10 HP – 7 kW power increase to 310 HP – 231 kW. They did this by modifying the intake, fuel system and mapping.
