Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth

Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth 1

Hamann Motorsport is a company pretty well known for refining BMW-models and exclusive luxury cars and a Hamann Fiat 500 might not really seem to fit in their usual tuning projects. But since the tiny Fiat 500 is really popular the Laupheim-based tuner decided to release a full tuning program for the Cinquecento.

The Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth received a new aerodynamics package that makes this small car pretty aggressive and a lot of power under the hood. This modified Fiat 500 Abarth is available in several power levels with the first taking the car to 160 HP and the last one taking it to an amazing output of 275 HP.

The first power level is called “HS I” and includes an ECU remapping that takes the car’s engine to 160 HP and 285 Nm of torque. In the next level called “HS II”, engineers from Hamann installed a new exhaust turbo charger, a two pipe end muffler and an optimized air filter taking this car’s power to 180 HP and 295 Nm of torque.

In the thirst level (HS III) the Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth received a turbo charger with smaller geometry and a new fuel supply and after these parts were installed the car went to 210 HP and 310 Nm. The next level is called HS Race and takes the car’s engine to 240 HP and 330 Nm after installing forged pistons, enhanced connection rods, a modified turbo charger with charge air cooler and a race clutch with weight-optimised one-mass flywheel.

The most powerful level is the “HS Cinquecento 575″ that takes this car’s power to 275 HP and 380 Nm which is more than breathtaking for a car of this size and the result is an impressive acceleration time and a great top speed. This was achieved by installing a reengineered cylinder head with adjusted camshaft, two charge air coolers as well as a self-locking differential.

The Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth features a new aerodynamics package with components made of light composite materials that are perfectly shaped to give the car a trendy look. The styling kit consists of a new front skirt with integrated LED Daytime running lights, wing extensions,, new side skirts and a redesigned rear skirt with a Ferrari-like rear diffuser.

Hamann also offers different sport suspensions to ensure a better handling and also installed a new sports exhaust system with two or four end pipes and a high performance braking system to stop this incredibly fast 500. The Hamann Fiat 500 Abarth sits on newly developed design wheel Largo Forged Anodized that are offered in size 8.0×18″ for the front and 9.0×18″ for the rear.
