FR stands for Formula Racing at Seat and their new Seat Leon FR is almost as powerful as a race car. Engineers from JE Design wanted to turn the 2010 Seat Leon FR into a real sports car and they launched a special tuning program which includes performance and design upgrades.
The stock version of this car is powered by a petrol engine with 211 HP and this version, after a couple of tweaks and an optimization of the control unit, can deliver 270 HP and it comes with a maximum torque of 355 Nm. This power boost makes the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and it will cost 1499 Euros.
The model equipped with the TDI diesel engine also got a power upgrade and it now has 204 HP and 380 Nm of torque after an ECU upgrade. With this upgrade, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and it costs only 1339 Euros.
But the most impressive improvement to the JE DESIGN Seat Leon FR comes at the exterior level where the car tuning company installed a new aerodynamics package that consists of a new front spoiler with a double lip, side skirts and a rear skirt that includes a rear diffuser. Another major modification to the car’s exterior that will certainly attract a lot of buyers was installing wing-doors.
Other changes made to this car were installing a new exhaust muffler system, a new suspension system which lowers the car by 35mm and 19″ alloy wheels.
