Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid 1

Lotus has premiered today at the Geneva Motor Show the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid, a full hybrid that comes in a copper color to evoke its electronic theme. The car’s interior also features copper on the instrument color, seat covers and brake calipers and a leather and alcantara finish.

The Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid features two twin electric motors that provide a combined output of 204 HP and a maximum torque of 400 Nm which will make the car sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4 seconds. The car also comes with a 1.2L three cylinder Lotus Range extender engine that is able to develop 47 HP and it’s designed to provide as extended range as its name says and to recharge the batteries.

The hybrid version of Evora has an all electric range of 56 km running on a fully charged battery pack and an extended range of 480 km. The car’s engine is connected to a 7 speed transmission that has two drive settings: Eco and Sport.

Since a lot of people like to hear the car’s engine and electric cars clearly can’t emit the same sound as a normal car Lotus installed a special HALOsonic sound system that artificially generates the sound of a gasoline/petrol engine at the front and rear speakers.
