Last month Mazda released some details about the upcoming Mazda 6 and now the Japanese automaker has plans to unveil a wagon version of the vehicle at the Paris Motor Show. The event will take place at the end of this month so all eyes will be on the beautiful nippon station wagon.

The new generation of the Mazda6 is scheduled to go on sale later this year in Europe and it will come with Mazda’s  SKYACTIV-D 2.2-liter diesel engine in Standard Power or High Power versions. The car can also be equipped with the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine that outputs 148 HP – 110 kW and 210 Nm, or the SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter engine with 189 HP – 141 kW and 256 Nm of torque.

The car will also feature the new i-ELOOP capacitor-based regenerative braking system which will be offered for the 2.5-liter engine. Other improvements feature the MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear layout while the torsional rigidity has been improved, compared to the model it replaces, by up to 30 percent.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful station wagons I’ve seen lately and … Have I mentioned that I hate station wagons a lot? Thumbs up Mazda!
