Lexus LF-Ch 1

A couple of months ago Lexus premiered the LF-Ch concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, a concept that will probably go into production soon for the European market. Mark Templin, the brand’s general manager recently confirmed in an interview for the Detroit Bureau that Lexus might bring a production version of this hatchback to this United States too by 2012.

If this happens, the car would be the smallest Lexus and will compete with the Audi A3, BMW 1 Series, Volvo C30 and Mini Cooper. Lexus will bring the LF-Ch concept to the Los Angeles Auto Show too and if the company will get positive reactions to the new small car it will probably get the greet light for a future production version.

The Lexus LF-Ch is going to be a premium priced small car and Lexus won’t take out some of it’s features for a smaller price if it comes to the United States. The new small car will probably come with a conventional powertrain as standard fitment and it will probably have a hybrid version to compete with future small car hybrids from Audi and BMW.
