Nissan 370Z Spec Racing Series (2)

More and more companies have taken to spec racing, with everyone from Lamborghini to Opel hosting their own modified versions. Recently, Nissan has presented their own racing version of the 370Z, and what a car it is. Also known as the Nissan 370Z Nismo Z-Challenge Spec, the series will allow aspiring racers and amateur enthusiasts to compete against each other in identical machinery. The final version of the ride is expected to be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon next month, and from the looks of it, it should turn out to be similar to the existing 370Z Nismo RC.

As a reminder, the latter packs the same 3.7-liter V6 as the roadgoing model, but modified to Nismo spec at 350 HP. The vehicle has also been fitted with other competition-grade enhancements like brakes, suspension and more. Although the Nismo series is sure to be more affordable than something like the Maserati Trofeo or Bentley’s upcoming Continental GT3 series, Nissan’s 370Z RC already has a price tag of around $164k, and the cost of participation for one season is sure to boost the bottom line even further.
