This Mexican car is going to enter production this year, in November, after requisite amount of interest met.
The Mexican carmaker recently had a promotional trip to the United Kingdom in order to present their new car. After knowing a huge success at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and after an amazing private unveiling to a very select audience, it is obvious that the Ariel Atom fighter managed to secure a sufficient number of orders and they decided to start the production.
Their aim was to have at least 20 orders for the top spec “Edition One” model. After they managed to achieve their goal they decided to start the production in November in order to have the cars ready until next spring. We cannot wait to see how the car is going to look like on the roads and which are going to be its main advantages.
The director of Vuhl, Guillermo Echeverria said that they could not have wished for a better response from the public and the media and this is how they decided to release this car which seems so appealing for the majority of its viewers. Vuhl is definitely an impressive carmaker and it is famous for its vehicles which are ultra high performance and light weight ones.
The new Vuhl 05 weights only 695 kg and it pairs an aluminum chassis to a chrome moly steel subframe and even a body which is made of RTM reinforced plastic or carbon fiber.
The power of the car is sent to the tarmac using a six speed manual and it comes from Ford’s 2.0 liter turbo engine which is able to produce 285 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and it has a top speed of 153.
The price for this car is not a huge one, $89.000 and it may seem even affordable taking into consideration the aspect of the car and its features. It is an amazing car and we cannot wait to see how many drivers are going to opt for such a vehicle.
The official release date has not been announced yet but we know that it is going to be somewhere next spring. Until then, we are waiting for new information and extra details about this incredible car that managed to surprise a lot of people with a modern design.
The Concept M4 Coupe previews the upcoming production model and it seems the ideal incarnation of BMW’s M philosophy.
It is going to debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and it is going to be the precursor to the production model. Its color is definitely a unique one, “Aurum Dust”, and it proves once again that BMW is an important name when it comes to vehicles.
Unfortunately even if they presented the exterior of the car with so much pride, and they managed to surprise everybody with that incredible color, BMW refuses to reveal what’s going on under the hood. Apparently the car is going to use either a twin or a triple turbo charged 3.2 liter straight six rated which is going to produce 450 horse power and 405 lb-ft of torque. It is definitely very impressive and everybody is extremely curious to find out even more exciting details about this car which is going to have some incredible features, not only an outstanding aspect.
The design follows function and it is focused on power, handling and control. The front of the car is improved with new designed round headlamps which have a very sport aspect and another interesting detail is the double bar kidney grille. The car also has a carbon fiber front splitter, power dome hood and even three large air intakes.
The 20 inch alloys are housed by typical muscular wheel arches and the side profile is dominated by redesigned M gill and CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) roof. The sculpted rear end also includes a trunk lid spoiler, carbon fiber twin tailpipes, optical air vents and even rear diffuser.
Even if we do not know a lot of thing about the technical features of this car we are completely sure that they are going to be as amazing as its design. The car is definitely extremely expected and everybody is anxious to see how it looks like. We do not know when the production will start or when the car is going to be on the market. One thing is for sure, BMW is one of the most important carmakers in the world and the quality of their cars is well known by all drivers.
This car is going to be no less than what they usually create and they never disappointed their loyal customers until now, and something tells us that they will not do it in the future either.
Cars are expensive, going to the car dealership place can be terrifying, and the advice that your mum is giving you just isn’t helpful in the twenty first century. Yes, these are just some of the thoughts that you’re likely to be thinking if you’re trying to buy a car in 2013. There are a million-and-one things that are flowing through your mind and you’re finding it difficult to get to sleep. So what are you going to do? You’re going to read the advice below and hopefully, your eventual trip to the dealership will be that little bit easier to swallow because of it.
Have a plan
As with any complicated task, it’s better if you go into the car-buying process with a plan of action. Buying a car is a multifaceted process which requires researching the requirements you need from your car, searching for the best prices and finance options, finding a decent insurance quote and more. If you can write down your strategy for completing all of these tasks you’ll work through the plan steadily until it’s complete, and hopefully all with a clear mind.
This point leads from the last. You’re going to need to do a lot of research when it comes to figuring out what sort of car you need and at what price. You can use a site such as Exchange And Mart to find a price and even find the locations of used cars, if that’s what you’re looking for, or you could look to a specific dealership if you have a specific make of car in mind.
There are lots of things you can do to prepare for a visit to the car dealership. First of all, know the times of the year where you’re more likely to get a good deal. These are July to August and the last couple of weeks in December. You can maximise your savings by choosing to go to the dealership at these times. Before you go, make sure to look at the dealership’s competition to ensure you have a couple of other quotes. By doing this you gain the control of the situation and you might be able to even get a bargain.
Having read this short guide to buying a car, hopefully you’re now in a better position to think clearly and make the right decisions. Good luck, and drive safely!
With all of the reported news at the moment about the so-called “flash-for-cash” scheme, it seems like there’s no end to the controversy on the road. For those unaware, flash-for-cash refers to the scheme where some nefarious drivers are flashing their lights at junctions to indicate that the other driver can pull out, and then the first driver is driving into the second. This is a tragic plot to gain money through a scam which has the potential to seriously hurt many travellers. It is not the only way, however, that people are being injured on the road. With that in mind, here’s a rundown of some of the ways you can be better protected while you’re driving.
Wear a seatbelt
It sound completely obvious, but for some reason, many experienced drivers take it upon themselves to not wear seatbelts. This is extremely dangerous, not to mention silly. If you don’t wear a seatbelt then you make it increasingly difficult for Insurance companies such as Axa to help you out if an accident happens. That’s why vehicle manufacturers put them into the design of the car in the first place.
Use your lights appropriately
This goes back to the “flash-for-cash” scheme. If people could use their lights properly on the road, the number of traffic accidents would be significantly reduced. You’ve probably all been in the situation where you’ve been traveling down an unlit road and have been blinded by an oncoming driver’s full-beam headlights. Try to keep light levels in the back of your mind at all time, as exposure to bright light could cause serious accidents.
The final way you can ensure that you’re minimising the amount of danger you are putting yourself and others in is through making sure your car is well serviced. Ensure that you take your car to a good garage to receive its MOT every year, and perhaps even more crucially, ensure that you have some money saved away in the bank in case the work that is required doing on the vehicle is more than you anticipated.
There’s nothing worse than being hit in the face with a bill that you’re not going to be able to pay, and having to live with the problem until you find the money.
Ultimately, when you’re on the road, you just need to remember to think more about the safety of yourself and others. If everybody could be just that little bit more safety-conscious, the roads would be a far less dangerous place.
In 50 years’ time, do you think you’ll own a car? It’s an interesting question, and the answer is probably not. As more people move into large cities, there’ll be no need to own a car. For now, however, we’re relying on personal transport to get us where we need to be.
When you’re looking at getting a new car, there’s one important choice which can really take a lot of time and energy to decide upon. That choice is whether or not to buy or lease. There are lots of advantages to each option, and there isn’t a clear and definitive answer as to which is better. The answer is down to personal circumstance. With that in mind, here’s a list of advantages to both buying and leasing.
Advantages of buying
The most obvious advantage to buying your car outright is that you own it. It’s yours with no strings attached. That means you can do with it what you want, so if you feel like making modifications like putting in a better stereo or an auxiliary jack port for your iPod, you can.
A second large advantage which follows on from the first is that there are no user restrictions. Leased cars are likely to have vehicle usage restrictions such as maximum limits on millage, so if you’re looking to travel long distances regularly, it would be a more sensible investment of money if you buy your car.
Advantages of leasing
The best advantage to leasing a car as opposed to buying it is that the monthly cost is lower. Of course, eventually, with a purchased car you won’t have to pay any monthly costs because you’ll own the car outright; meanwhile with leased cars you will. The difference is that the monthly payment on the leased vehicle will be much cheaper.
A second advantage to leasing a car is that you’re likely to see a new car every two or three years, and this means that you’ll always have an up-to-date vehicle which is equipped with the latest safety and pleasure technology. Clearly, if you like new and modern cars, leasing is a pretty good option. As leasing is slightly less common than buying, it would be wise to seek advice from a specialist before you sign an agreement, so please go to Hitachi’s vehicle contract hire page here for more information.
Ultimately, there are advantages to both buying and leasing and you’ll need to weigh-up the pros and cons of both to come to your decision.
If you really like cars, then it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary picture for you to have had a tinker with them in the past, and that may include car modifications. Applying car modifications to make aesthetic and performance-based enhancements can be an exciting and challenging hobby, but sometimes it can become a bit more than just that. Some people get so far into car modifying that they could probably be classed as obsessed. Vanity Some people out there just want to look good, and that extends to their cars. Aesthetic modifications are addictive because every positive comment is going to make the modifier believe that they should continue their work to pursue artistic perfection. Of course, that never comes, and the modifier becomes a husk of themselves. Need for speed Other car modifiers don’t care about what their vehicles look like as long as they get the maximum performance out of them. This is extremely dangerous in two ways. First, speed junkies are at risk of hurting themselves and damaging their cars by travelling at high speeds. Second, they are giving themselves the opportunity to fall into the trap of obsessive performance tweaking. This is where small adjustments to performance modifications creates only the slightest changes in the overall speed performance in the car. Doing this is dangerous to anybody with an addictive personality and a penchant for speed. Pure addiction The third group of people who could find themselves in trouble with car modifying are those who are easily addicted to perfection. This leads on from the last point about performance tweaking. If you‘re the kind of person to find yourself compulsively obsessing over the physical and performance traits of your body and the things around you, you should probably stay well away from car modifications. You could cause yourself a diminishing lot of time and money, and it’s probably better to stay clear. Of course, if you don’t think you fit the above three personality traits, then you should dive in. Car modifying isn’t inherently bad or dangerous, and there are even specialist vehicle engineer firms such as SGS-Engineering who can discuss engineering projects with you if you need it. So hopefully it’s been made clear in this blog that some people should just avoid car modifying at all costs, it could be really bad for their time, wallet and health. For everybody else, however, stay safe and have fun!
Do you like cars? Are you trying to set up a new small business? Here in 2013, it’s very difficult to get a loan from the government at the moment because banks are increasingly lending only to large, stable companies who are less risky to take on. What this means for you is that when it comes to marketing your business, you’re going to have to make your money go further. To do that, you’re going to have to get creative, and one of the most creative, simple ways of marketing your brand is by combining your love of cars and your business and taking advantage of a vehicle wrap. There are plenty of advantages to vehicle wrapping; here are just a few.
The main advantage of wrapping is that it’s going to give your business exposure in the local area, and if you’re a new business start-up, your local clientele is extremely valuable. It’s worth knowing too that the cost of wrapping is minimal, and the design does not affect your car, so if you ever want to remove it you can. It’s also a very immediate form of advertising. You’ll get visual contact and word-of-mouth referrals from your wrap, so it’s worth investing in as early in your business plan as possible.
If you get wrapping on your car, your business is going to profit from 24/7 mobile marketing, and this means that while you’re enjoying your favourite hobby, you’re generating interest for your business. The mobility of your wrap is essential, because unlike with other forms of outdoor advertising such as billboards, you’re going to see a much wider range of potential customers.
You can make a really great wrap for your car for very little money. Attempt the design and the application yourself, but it may be safer if you turn to a specialist such as Signamara who can do the job for you and make it appear professional. Just like with your car itself, the type and quality of sign that you use will reflect on the quality of your business.
Hopefully now you’ve read this far, you know about the advantages of marrying your favourite hobby with your business. With the pressure that banks are putting on local small businesses by not lending to them, you should make the most of all of the opportunities you have, and car wrapping just seems like a good deal.
This is not an article about cars in space, but it is an article about cars of the future. The near-future, to be precise. There are many technologies which may be emerging over the next few years which car enthusiasts should be extremely excited about. It may even be worth holding off if for a year or two if you’re starting to think about replacing your car. By the end of this blog, you’ll be able to show-off to your friends about the cool new features your future car will have. Enjoy.
Vehicle-to-vehicle communication is going to be big in the coming years. In essence, it would mean that vehicles will be able to talk to one another to prevent road accidents. As an example, imagine if a vehicle is about to run a red light and crash into you, your car would receive a signal from the other car and could potentially push your brakes, preventing a potential accident.
Vehicle-to-infrastructure technology is also in development. The aim with this technology is to send signals from your vehicle to digital road signs and other displays in order to provide personalised, relevant information to the driver. What this means—alongside V2V tech—is that both roads and the vehicles on them are becoming smarter. This is not just technology for the sake of technology, and is suggested to bring the societal benefit of reducing target crash incidents by up to 81 per cent.
3D Printing Cars
3D printing is a technology about to break into the mainstream’s consciousness. 3D printers are starting to be used in manufacturing to help companies reduce manufacturing costs, so for example, many futurists believe that the eventual method of creating a base on a none-Earth planet will be by taking 3D printers to the planet and using materials found on that planet to print out a base. This technology will be used in the much sooner near-future however, because car manufacturers are starting to offer customised vehicles.
This means that vehicles will be designed more readily for a broader range of traveller. One of the advantages of this is that disabled travellers will be able to find lots more available transport such as that found on Allied Mobility, so there is a real societal benefit to using this technology.
So that’s a brief look at some of the technologies that will be starting to emerge in the near-future. Now that you know about them, be excited and tell your friends.
Images with the new Lamborghini Gallardo appeared on the internet and if this is really the final edition then we have to say that we are extremely impressed. The car looks completely amazing and it seems extremely fast.
The car will have its debut in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it is an all wheel drive LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. When it comes to the performances of the car it is almost identical to the LP 570- 4 Super Trofeo race car, but it is fully street legal.
This Lamborghini may be the best one they ever build especially if you take into consideration the fact that it has the features of a race car and the elegance of a street one. It seems a very successful combination and we cannot wait to see the final aspect of the car.
The car shares a lot of key components with the Gallardo SuperLeggera, for example the removable engine hood, the big carbon fiber rear wing and even the 5.2 liter V10 which is able to pump out 570 horsepower. When it comes to the transmission you should know that no six speeds manual will be available and you will be able to enjoy only the six speed auto with paddle shifters.
The car weighs 2.954 lbs and it is lighter than the standard LP 560-4. The car also has carbon ceramic brakes and an amazing interior with Alcantara center inserts. The interior of the car is definitely a minimalist one which makes this car even more elegant.
They also added carbon fiber door panels, handbrake frame, center console cover and even the lower portion of the steering wheel in order to save additional weight and to make this car even faster. The performances of the car are incredible and it can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds only. If you want to reach 124 mph then you only need 10.4 seconds and you can easily reach the top speed of the car which is 199 mph.
The name of the car comes from the Lamborghini’s new motorsport division and we are sure that it is going to be on everybody’s lips very soon. The price and the production number were not announced yet but we are 100% sure that this will not be a cheap car. If you want to own it then you should be prepared with an impressive amount of money.
This car appeared in 1998 and it was an amazing success. It was able to hit 243 mph and everybody was simply amazed by its performances. This car was unlike anything else on the market. It had a modern aspect, a powerful engine and definitely a bold interior. Lot of drivers wanted such a car and they bought it.
The car has three seats, is an F1 influenced one and it is still considered as being one of the world’s greatest supercars. Some things never go out of fashion and the McLaren F1 is definitely classic, elegant, powerful, a true pioneer when it comes to its category. The engine is a mid mounted 6.1 liter V12 one and it is paired to a six speed manual which helps the car reach 243 mph.
The McLaren F1 is lighter than other sports cars even if it has an extra seat. The car was conceived as an exercise in creating the ultimate road car.
The modified race car edition was also extremely impressive and it won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 when it raced against purpose built prototype race cars. The most impressive thing about this car is that it was the first production road car to use a complete carbon fiber reinforced plastic monocoque chassis structure. They also added magnesium and aluminum in order to complete the attachment points for the suspension system.
The driving position is a central one and the driver’s seat is located in the middle having a passenger seat behind and on each side. The doors are the butterfly type and they move up and out when opened. This is an interesting feature when it comes to a car and it confers it some extra style and elegance.
Only 106 cars were produced: 64 were the standard street version, 5 tuned versions, 3 longtail roadcars, 5 prototypes, 28 racecars and one LM prototype. The production of this car started in 1992 and ended in 1998. Each machine took around three and a half months to make but the result was definitely an amazing one. Even if the production of the car stopped in 1998, McLaren still maintains support and service network for the F1.
There are 8 authorized service centers in the entire world and if you are the owner of such a car then you can even ask them to fly a specialized technician to your house if you cannot go to a service centre.
