Today I spotted a very great video of the Porsche Carrera GT in orange. I realy love that colour. It’s a very powerful machine and for the price of around 500.000 USD you can imagine how rare it is to see such a beast driving in real on the street. But someone spotted this amazing car in Erfurt on a Street Race. So thumbs up – Like and Share it with your friends and follow us on facebook or twitter for more hot stuff.
Cars can be compared to watches in the sense that both signify social status. As time goes by, people buy increasingly extravagant cars to show off their power and wealth. Companies answer this demand by continuously designing and producing more powerful and more luxurious cars. Porsche is one company that has impressed every car enthusiast for many years, and for good reason. They have released several ground-breaking vehicles that are acclaimed because of their beauty, craftsmanship, and performance. In 2013, Porsche released a new car known as the Porsche 918 Spyder. This vehicle is the embodiment of Porsche’s expertise in innovative designs for its vehicles.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is one of the few plug-in hybrid cars released by Porsche. The car was first introduced as a concept way back in 2010 and released only in 2013. So far, only 918 units were produced making this car a rarity on open roads. The Porsche 918 Spyder comes in either a 2 door roadster body style or a 2 door coupe body style. Both of these variants have the same specifications and features.
The Porsche 918 Spyder was designed and manufactured by Porsche, and as such, exhibits the quality and performance that is expected from Porsche vehicles. The 918 Spyder is a mid-engine vehicle that can seat a maximum of 2 people. The Porsche 918 Spyder is powered by a 4.6L V8 engine that can deliver up to 608 horsepower and 528 Nm of torque. The engine is supported by 2 motors that can deliver an additional 279 horsepower. Porsche claims that the 918 Spyder can go from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in only 2.6 seconds, 0 to 200 kilometres per hour in only 7.2 seconds, 0 to 300 kilometres per hour in only 19.9 seconds, and a maximum speed of 345 kilometres per hour.
As stated previously, the Porsche 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid car and therefore has an alternative energy source. This car sports a 6.8 kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery that is liquid cooled to compensate for the demands of the vehicle. The battery is charged by either plugging the car or by using the regenerative braking system in the car. The use of the battery is dependent on the running mode being used by the driver. There are a total of five running modes that are composed of 3 hybrid modes, an electric drive mode, and race mode. The three hybrid modes use both the engine and the electric motors while the electric drive mode uses only the electric motors. Race mode enables the driver to get additional power from the electric motors by simply pushing a button.
The Porsche 918 Spyder was widely considered as one of the best cars in 2013 because of its specifications. Putting the power of a sports car in the body of an environmentally friendly machine is pure genius. Many people have dubbed the 918 Spyder as the beginning of a new wave of sports car and it is easily understandable why. A combination of beauty, performance, precision, craftsmanship, and dynamics sets the Porsche 918 Spyder apart from other sports cars.
Germany is the number one enemy of Italy and thanks to its superior manufacturing and engineering capabilities it managed to create some incredible supercars. Ones of the most amazing cars of all time are German cars and here you have a list with the best five cars that were produced in Germany.
1. Mercedes Benz SLS AMG
It first appeared in 2010 and it was recognized as an instant classic from the first day. It is powered by a 6.2 liter V8 which can reach 583 horsepower, and it is a very powerful car. This amazing car was revealed in 2006 and it changed the definition of supercars. Audi R8 is the perfect combination between a lion on the track and a small and delicate lamb on the street. Its power comes from a 4.2 liter V8 which can be upgraded up to 5.2 liter V10. It can produce 430 horsepower (and 525 hp for the V10 version). The clients were able to choose between three different engine versions which could produce from 641 to 789 horsepower. The car has a top speed of 224 mph and an amazing aspect thanks to the carbon fiber body panels or fiberglass ones. The best thing about it is the fact that it is extremely aerodynamic and it is able to produce enough down force to drive upside town, at more than 190 mph, in a tunnel.

If all you TopCar fans haven’t had enough Porsche for a while, the Russian tuner has presented yet another customization program for the Porsche Cayenne. This time, the ride showcases a red and white finish which was carried over to the interior where we can find dragon stitching on the seats.
On the exterior of the ride, we notice a set of red-trimmed alloy wheels which fit perfectly with the carbon fiber body kit. The new elements include a front spoiler bumper, front fender extensions, rear spoiler, side skirts and hood. Seen from the back, the high-performance SUV showcases a new diffuser with LED brake light strips and fender wings.
On the inside, the custom-made cabin features the same red theme which is meticulously continued with the quilted leather and carbon fiber trim. You can either love it or hate it, there’s no place in between.
There’s no word on what’s trapped under the hood or how fast does the ride sprint from 0 to 100 Km/h neither regarding the check you’d have to sign to get your hands on this ride.
Kahn Design has had a crush on the Porshe Panamera for a while now, and earlier this month, the British auto-tuner has presented a new styling kit for the German four-door coupe.
The project is based on the pre-facelift Panamera that features the V6 3.0-liter diesel engine. On the styling side, the tuner installed front and rear wide vented wheel arches with built-in rear air dams, a 911 Turbo-inspired lower boot wing, liquid gold brake calipers and an upper roof wing.
The vehicle also features LED daytime running lights mounted on the front wheel arches, door entry sill plates in stainless steel and a lowered sports suspension. Seen from the back, the modified Panamera showcases a dual crosshair exhaust system, the Kahn enamel tailgate logo, door entry sill plates in stainless steel and a brand new set of Kahn RS-R wheels (9.5×22 front and 10.5×22 rear) which also fit the original center caps.
The interior cabin boasts quilted and perforated black leather seats with gray Alcantara inserts, piano black trim for the dash and center console, bespoke mats and an Alcantara-wrapped sports steering wheel. Customers can customize the ride just as they want and the tuner offers various interior customization options upon request.
The vehicle depicted here, along with all the enhancements installed by the tuner, is available for 68,875 GBP.

Last week, Porsche released a video in which some features of the 2014 911 GT3 were detailed. Coming right after its Geneva Motor Show debut, the 911 GT3 showcases its aggressive new look that features extended side skirts, a different rear bumper, optional LED headlights, a fixed rear wing and bigger spoilers. It also packs a set of 20-inch forged alloys wrapped in performance tires and a center-mounted dual exhaust system.
Under the bonnet, the car has a six-cylinder 3.8-liter boxer engine that develops 475 HP – 349 kW and 438 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque. It sends all that power to the wheels via a dual-clutch, 7-speed gearbox. On the performance side, the Porsche 911 GT3 sprints from 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) in only 3.5 seconds and is able to reach a top speed of 315 km/h (195 mph).
The most important feature on the new 911 GT3 is the active rear wheel steering system which can steer the rear wheels in the same or opposite direction of the front wheels for better agility on track.
The interior of the ride hasn’t been changed that much over the standard 911 except for the Alcantara steering wheel, leather/Alcantara seats with contrasting stitching. The 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 is scheduled to go on sale this August in Germany and it has a base price of 137,303 EUR (VAT included).
Earlier this week, Porsche has officially presented the 911 GT3. The vehicle has been described to be an impressive leap forward, with performance figures like the 0 to 100Km/h acceleration time of only 3.5 seconds and an average Nürburgring lap-time of seven minutes and thirty seconds.
The GT3 has been fitted with an aggressive new body kit that includes a new front fascia with spoilers and optional LED headlights, widened rear fenders, extended side skirts and a fixed rear wing. Seen from the back, the car showcases a new rear bumper, a center-mounted dual exhaust system and a set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels with central locking hubs. The interior cabin features leather / Alcantara seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and red contrast stitching.
Under the bonnet, the GT3 packs a 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with variable valve timing, direct injection, titanium connecting rods and forged pistons. It generates around 475 HP – 349 kW and 438 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque which, thanks to the seven-speed dual clutch transmission it comes connected to, sends the ride to 100Km/h from a standing start in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 315 Km/h (195 mph).
The Porsche 911 GT3 will also feature a brand new active rear wheel steering system. Designed to deliver unparalleled driving dynamics, the system steers the rear wheels in the same or opposite direction of the front wheels for improved agility.
The car will be available in Germany starting this August with price tags starting from €137,303 (including VAT and national specifications).
If you think about the future, if you are passionate about cars and among others you are a passionate collector full of money maybe you should take into account current cars with a good chance of reaching the collector cars status. Time passes quickly as we all know. It is never too late to think of the future. I’ve sparked your interest? Throw your eyes on this top and maybe you will find something to your taste.
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible
Not ranked first, it is true. But look at it a bit and hear the engine purr and roar. Aspect of modern punk, delicious aggressive lines, lot of history hidden behind the name and above all an american car, which revived from the ashes the name Camaro. It is the most powerful convertible produced by Chevrolet. At a price of just under $60k, you will receive a huge 6.2-liter 580 horsepower supercharged V8 drop-top ZL1 engine and an american legend. This car has real chances to become a true classic. If the standard version was the explosion the convertible version is the shock wave.
Porsche Cayman S
Better known as the younger brother of 911. The 2013 model evolved to being more efficient and lighter than all previous models. For $63,800 you get luxury, performance and elegance. Engine? 3.4-liter 325-hp flat-six engine paired with 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. A wolf disguised as a lamb right? The chances to become a true classic are high, with history confirming the potential of these cars to achieve fabulous amounts of money and special places in collectors garages.
Perhaps the only car from the top that combines space and performance so good. Large enough that you can still take friends with you, fast enough that you can take it to the track with your kids. Sober yet elegant, still has that special air that lets you know who you are dealing with. Devoid of exaggerated elements the RS5 relies on a more tasteful minimal design. That does not mean that you will be ashamed if you put it to run. A 4.2-liter V8 with 450 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque will engraft a big smile on your face and if you’re brave enough you can disconnect the driving assistance systems for more adrenaline. It may seem boring for a teenager but for an adult it may be the ideal mix of elegance and sportiness.
Corvette Convertible 427
A true classic over the years, a true classic today. Visually has not suffered major changes over time. Recognizable in a glance it was the childhood dream for many of us. Only overshadowed by the new Corvette Stingray’s styling, this car is even now a living classic. With 7.0-liter V8 monster engine, the 505-hp 427 special edition is the last C6. The 2013 model marks the 60 year history of Corvette brand. The amount of $75,925 brings beside the car itself the status of “fastest and most capable Corvette convertible yet”.
640hp, 600lb-ft and 8.4-liter V10 engine. Enough engine to fold every piece of asphalt right? The statement which says “the most torque of any naturally aspirated engine currently produced” seems valid now. $97,395 for a true legend car which in its latest incarnation has received only praise and drolling eyes. Since leaving the factory gates this car has a good chance of becoming a classic.
Now count your money, be ready to banish your wife if you will argue for what you plan to do and..grab one of these.
You discovered oil in the backyard? You won the jackpot in lottery? Your career acts like a rocket taking off into the sky? Or maybe you’re just lucky and spoiled and want more? Your wife left you, you start doing baldness or belly? Too much silence around or too much stress? For all this we have the solution below: a top of relatively cheap cars but not too cheap; this keeps them away from common car class, and let us hope that with a little effort, we could afford one. So, let’s see what cars we have for the almost reach and almost poor class.
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
6.2-liter V8, 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. Wild, transformed almost completely in a good and mean way (yeah, lack of logic maybe, but who can blame me? That car is breathtaking), and almost in a bad way. Perhaps those who designed the rear, did this under torture or exhausted from too much porn. Otherwise I can not explain how did that ugly exhaust managed to get there.
With this exception, the car is beautiful and almost sexy. Futuristic influences, aggressive and harsh lines and absence of the iconic rounded taillights. These were replaced by a new visual language which began with the Camaro. The interior seems much better finished, and more space-ship like. Overall, a good investment, and a thorn in the European cars back.
Always young we could say. Almost unchanged, always different. Yes, a car that has preserved forms but sometimes changed heart. Today’s heart has, a 2.7-liter boxer and 275 horsepower. Among other goodies we have a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch gearbox, quality finishing, lots of technologies under the hood, refreshed look, and of course that strange but priceless moment, when friends envy you because you drive a Porsche. So if you do not like american cars (yup balls needed for an American sport car), you can try a more civilized European.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Fast and dumb. As long as you go on straight roads without curves, everything will be fine. No activities that involve steering wheel ok? This is the typical american car. Fast, powerful and dumb. Difficult to control, hard to handle, hard to drive at high speeds and cursed with a back so unstable that sometimes you’ll miss all the fun. 5.8-liter V8, 662 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque. Minor design changes, just over $54,000, and some badass attitude. Yup, power, and..power. All seasoned with a bad boy look which is simply brilliant. American skin and german engineering; I would like a mustang like this. Bad and smart. Untill then..I still want a Mustang or Camaro.
One of the best all-wheel-drive systems in the world paired with a 2.0-liter TFSI engine, a six-speed automatic and Audi Magnetic Ride. Know what it meant? One of the best engineering sex. 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, brain ( yes, brain, this car can take corners without slipping immediately), a lowered suspension and a car that can be taken to extremes without throw you in extreme anger. Seen from the outside looks almost harmless, the kind of machine for short and shy students. But behind the wheel, this car can transform into the big bad wolf. I want it, and i hate it for being such a pussy from outside.
Infiniti IPL G
The guys at Nissan wanted a luxury division and they had it. I did not understand what they tried to define. If they wanted ugly and strange cars, at a time they were close to success. Fortunately the appearance of IPL performance division changed things for the better. The very better. So, based oonf the popular G Coupe, now we have the IPL G (I wonder how long it took to find the name). 3.7-liter V6 with 348 horsepower, a six-speed manual or seven-speed slushbox, improved design and bla bla bla. In brief: you have more money, you like costumes, fine fragrances and Wall Street? This car is for you. Aggressiveness mastered with elegance, unusual forms, power and speed, all peppered with mystery. Got it?
