2011 Saleen S302 1
Steve Saleen and his company unveiled over the weekend the 2011 Saleen S302 at the Carlisle Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA and also released a couple of details about the car. The new Saleen supercar is based on the Ford Mustang equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine that was upgraded to 425 HP and 395 lb-ft of torque.
The power from this upgraded engine is sent to the car’s rear wheels through a six speed transmission and also a limited slip differential with a 3.73:1 final drive ratio. The 2011 Saleen S302 received a new set of 20″ 7 spoke alloys wrapped in high performance Pirelli P-Zero tires and features several Saleen distinctive badges.
Inside, this modified Mustang comes with new, leather sport seats with Ultrasuede inserts and special Ultrasuede red tabs in the seatback bolsters. The dashboard was also refined and the gauges, steering wheel, center console and gear shifter feature unique styling elements.
