The Lyonheart K Goes Into Production
If the Jaguar E-Type isn’t really the car that you’ve pictured yourself into when the words original, retro and exclusive popped into your mind, then you should probably take a look at the Lyonheart K.
Earlier this year, this independent manufacturer shared some details about a concept vehicle that could go into production if enough prospective clients expressed serious interest in buying it. It wasn’t a surprise when the first orders came rolling in. In fact, Lyonheart has apparently gained so much attention that it is now considering to build a convertible version as well.
No more, and no less than 250 units of both the coupe and convertible will be built in the Lyonheart factory located in Coventry, England. Under the bonnet, both models will be powered by a modified Cosworth 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that produces a whopping 567 HP – 423kW and 699Nm of torque. These figures are enough for the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100Km/h in less than 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 300Km/h.
The price on one of these E-Type slayers should come just under 400,000 euros (no taxes included) and deliveries should begin early in 2014. Notably, 70% of the 250-car allotment will be sold in Europe, 20% in China and 10% in the Middle East.
