The Next-Gen Audi RS3 coming in 2014
News about the upcoming Audi RS3 have started to surface around the internet as a couple of websites followed up on what the CEO of Quattro said for “What Car?”. Acoording to him, the Audi RS3 will be presented in the spring of 2014.
There is not much information about the future model but from what Stephan Reil said, the RS3 might keep its turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder that develops 340 HP – 250 kW and 450 Nm of torque. As a reminder, this engine requires just 4.6 seconds to accelerate the vehicle from 0 to 100Km/h and it can push the car up to a top speed of 250Km/h.
The engine of the next generation RS 3 might feature some extra power, but even if it doesn’t, the weight reductions from the MQB platform should enable the model to be faster than its predecessor.
We can also expect other performance upgrades like high performance brakes, quattro all-wheel drive and a new suspension. Watch this space!
